Living with dementia : a personal perspective

At our launch of Connecting People, Connecting Support (Alzheimer Scotland 2017) we had several people talking about dementia and the difference an AHP policy could make for people living in Scotland.

I am delighted to share, in this week’s blog, the insights and experience of Pat from the Scottish Dementia Working Group @S_D_W_G on living with dementia. It is only 9 minutes and we hope you enjoy the short clip:

I had the pleasure of listening to Pat speak at the launch and have also watched the film clip a couple of times since. If I was to share with you my “take home message” from listening to Pat, it would be her motivation to “get the message across “hey I’ve got Alzheimer’s but I’m still here” that’s what we want to be doing”

From listening to Pat’s insights, what would your “take home message be?

Please leave a comment on the blog and tell us what you think

THANK YOU, Pat, for allowing us to share this film clip at the launch of
